Did I say I'd post more often?--7 months

Here's a quick roster of tricks: Sitting, rolling over, drooling with still no teeth, eating cereal with veggies or fruit, laughing, acting cute. The jolly 18 pounds has turned into a rollicking 20 pounds. These pictures go back a ways, so only the ones at the end are 6-7 months.

Okay whiners, you win--5 months

It is pretty embarrassing to admit that I let a whole 3 months slide by without an update, but hey, I have a newbornish baby. Quick summary of his accomplishments: he can hold his head up enough to use a Bumpo and an exersaucer, he's a very accomplished drooler, and enjoys grabbing things and shoving them in his mouth. As for speaking Latin, he may be, for all I know. He likes to sing/drone and occasionally scream. He smiles a lot, but only Mom Fox (my mother-in-law, not me) can make him laugh (grrrrrr).

After my boastful claim that my baby never gets sick, he promptly got croup, followed by a cold, followed by a different variety of cold along with an ear infection. Oh, and he has had a rash on his cheek for about 3 months. Nevertheless, we all remain in good spirits, especially because he weighs a jolly 18 pounds.

For all of you tracking parental abuse, we took a week-long trip to Montana without Louie. I was worried he might be scarred and have some sort of attachment disorder; however, he appeared to have forgotten about it within about 7 minutes upon our return. I included one skiing photo, and please notice in the background the pointy mountain. Pete skied down the mountain, starting from that point, down some chutes and rock fields (and survived). I was not so brave, but I still managed to wreck my knee in a minor wipeout. I persevered, but I'm now paying the consequences with Advil and ice.

Okay, so enjoy the pictures and videos. Since I have newly been uploading to my laptop, I will likely update more often.

Part 2--9 weeks (or so)

I just uploaded a month's worth of photos from our other camera, so there's a lot to see in this one. If you're just checking after a long while, also look at the previous post, since I just put it up yesterday.

Louie is now 9 weeks old, and true to his prenatal form, he is a big boy. The pediatrician yesterday kept saying, "he's a two-month-old in a four-month-old's body!). We all had bets on his weight, but he wasn't as big as we thought (no one won). Currently, he's 24 inches and 14 pounds, 6 oz.

These photos are a hodgepodge from the last month, including Christmas, New Year's and random days when he just happens to look cute.

Getting ready to go out in my fox outfit

This is why I wouldn't recommend having a baby in the winter. No walks, no swimming; we're trapped in the house unless we're willing to brave the elements.

Update Part 1: Pequot & Shower--7 weeks

I've finally gotten a moment to post some current photos. I'm afraid that this kid is more work than I thought! I can't find the cord to connect the other camera to the computer, but once that is found, Part 2 will be posted with the really good photos, and possibly some video.

I'll start with a cute one to appease all the people who have been screaming for me to update (you know who you are).

Christmas with Grandma--he's already mastered that look that we all give when Mom comes up with a crazy idea.

Becky and Liz threw a baby shower for Louie in Minneapolis. Mom had been with Louie for 3 days, but that didn't prevent her from hogging him.
